MFS-12e Switch Free Coil

The MFS-12 is a newly designed, switch-free, super broadband magnetometer used for Earth exploration. It is the successor to Metronix’s well-known MFS-06e coil magnetometer. The MFS-12e covers the frequency range of 0.0001 Hz to 20 kHz without switching. Compared to the MFS-06e, it requires less power and is lighter.

Metronix takes special care of the initial calibration of all MFS-06e magnetometers as part of the ISO9001 certified production process. Tests have demonstrated an excellent long time stability of the transfer function. The integrated calibration facility makes it easy for the user to perform an online calibration or test of the magnetometer´s transfer function. A differential test signal can simply be injected into the CAL input of the sensor.

You can measure AMT and MT simultaneously and therefore make a "single shot" measurement. This is ideal for mineral exploration, where 8 hours of recording time is schedule for each site in order to get two sites a day.

The MFS-12e is also ideal for deep sounding applications like in geothermal exploration, where the MFS-12e unleashes its full potential for long period data.
